Week of June 8
Looking back on learning... Language Arts Students learned about words containing the oo/u sound, such as the words book, look, cook, and put. Students also used a picture prompt to inspire their writing. We focused on including a clear character and setting in our stories and used our imaginations to create interesting narratives. It was exciting to see the creativity and unique ideas students brought to their writing! Math Students spent time reviewing many of the concepts they have learned throughout the year. Student practiced skills including: - Addition and subtraction (with and without regrouping) - Place value -2D and 3D shapes and Shape attributes Science Students began creating a plant growth flipbook to summarize their learning from our Living Systems unit.
