Looking back on learning...
Language Arts
Students focused on words with the long O sound spelled oa and ow and long I sound spelled ie and igh.We practiced reading, spelling, and using these words in different activities throughout the week. To help reinforce our learning, we played a fun game of Bingo using our long O and long I words.

Students continued learning about 2D and 3D shapes. We explored how shapes can move through slides, flips, and turns, and practiced sorting shapes based on their different attributes. Students also learned how to identify and describe features such as faces, edges, and vertices. As part of our hands-on learning, we even built our own paper cubes to better understand how 2D shapes come together to create 3D objects.
Wellness
Students learned and practiced the steps for solving a problem. We discussed strategies for working through challenges calmly and respectfully and talked about ways we can solve problems independently and with others.
